Message from the President

Since our founding in 1914, we have contributed to the development of society as a member of the UBE Group for more than a century, responding to the diverse and ever-changing needs of our customers. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our stakeholders whose continued support has made this long journey possible.

Today, we operate across a wide range of fields, including core industries and social infrastructure. Supporting these businesses are our strengths: core technologies spanning multiple domains; manufacturing infrastructure capable of handling large-scale products from structures to precision machining; integrated operations enabling consistent production; and above all, the diverse talent within our organization and the relationships of trust each individual has built with customers. By flexibly combining these strengths, we remain committed to creating new value - this has always been, and will continue to be, our enduring challenge.

Beginning in fiscal year 2026, we will transition from a company with a statutory auditor system to a company with an audit and supervisory committee, further enhancing our governance framework. At the same time, we are strengthening our sustainability management initiatives, including the identification of materiality and the promotion of employee well being and health management. By extending our roots broadly and growing a strong trunk, we aim to build a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

We place great importance on working closely alongside our customers, striving to understand their needs more quickly and more deeply. Through flexible thinking unbound by the past and the proactive efforts of each individual employee, we deliver thoughtful “World Class Performance”. Guided by this philosophy, we will continue to strengthen trust and contribute to the realization of a better future for society.
