Improving the rigidity of end platens
Adoption of highly rigid platen, increased thickness of end platen, increased thickness of pressure ring, pressure ring split structure.
- Reduces deflection of the die strike surface by approx. 25%.
- Larger exit holes in the platen than previously.
- Split pressure ring construction reduces costs and simplifies replacement by only requiring periodic replacement of the sub-pressure ring.
