The history of UBE Machinery began in 1914 with the establishment of the anonymous association Ube Shinkawa Ironworks in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The head office houses a heavy machinery works that produces die casting machines and other molding machines as its production base, and an industrial machinery and steel structure works that produces kilns, chemical equipment, and other large industrial machinery, as well as bridges and other large structures.

Opened in August 2020, the Nagoya machinery works is UBE Machinery's first production facility outside of the Ube area, where the company was founded, in Japan in its more than 100-year history.
The plant specializes in screw processing and assembly of injection molding machines, and is also home to the IM Solution Center, where various types of molding trials can be conducted.
