The Roots of UBE MACHINERY
It is a "well-established manufacturer of industrial machinery, bridges, and other products since 1914" of the UBE Group.
In 1914, "Ube Shinkawa Ironworks" was established to manufacture and repair machinery for mining coal in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Since then, we have inherited the founding principles of "Coexistence and mutual prosperity" with the local community and "From finite mining to infinite industry," and have continued to challenge new technologies and expand our business as the machinery business of the UBE Group. We continue to manufacture industrial machinery in a customer-oriented manner and play a cornerstone role in the infrastructure that supports society and industry.
History of UBE MACHINERY
Founded in 1914 as Ube Shinkawa Ironworks, which manufactured and repaired coal mining machinery, UBE Machinery was established in 1942 as the machinery division of UBE Corporation, which expanded its operations to develop and manufacture numerous industrial machines that support society and industry. In 1999, the company was spun off as UBE Machinery Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of UBE Corporation. In 2022, with the reorganization of the UBE Group, we made a fresh start as a company that continues to pursue safety, environmental friendliness, and the value that customers demand, aiming for co-existence and co-prosperity with the global community.

With the principle of "Coexistence and mutual prosperity" advocated by the founder of the UBE Group, Yusaku Watanabe, who believed that the development of a company and the development of a region are one and the same, we have been creating a variety of products and technologies to meet the demands of global society by taking on the challenges of changing times.
